The Winter Races in the Biesbosch.

In the fall of 2005 we sailed Kookaloo to Drimmelen on the river Amer. We had made plans to participate in the winter races. The winter races are organised by WSV de Biesbosch and are sailed on Sundays, once a month from October till March.

We hauled Kookaloo out of the water and gave her a fresh layer of antifouling to ensure the best performance possible and minimise the drag.

We entered in ORC 1 class and did very well overall. The new main and genoa 2 gave excellent speed to Kookaloo and we won first price. Our crew was proud to win the races, eventhough Kookaloo was in her 10th year in the water.

The price giving ceremony is followed by a real good party for all participants, friends and family.
Another trophy was added to the list of Kookaloo's wins.
